Essex Estate and Paddock Maintenance provides weed and ground management for Equestrian Centres, Estates, Horse and Animal Paddocks and small holdings. We also specialise in ragwort and moss removal and general weed management.
1
Spraying/ Weed Management including Ragwort
Spraying can be carried out between March until November depending on the weather conditions. Selective herbicides are used to reduce unwanted weeds and ragwort in the paddock and make space for new grass to flourish. Essex Estate and Paddock Maintenance are fully certified and insured to apply chemicals through a boom sprayer, holding PA1 and PA2 certification. We work closely with our Agronomist to ensure the most appropriate, effective and cost efficient chemical is used.

Spraying is carried out using a Logic Deck Mounted Sprayer DMS390 with a 4 metre boom mounted on a lightweight UTV with floatation tyres The lightweight construction allows us onto the land, early to late season with little to no ground compaction at all. All necessary machinery is NSTS tested
We also use the Ontrak GPS to accurately map your fields to make sure we give an accurate coverage over everything and we can easily calculate cost so you pay for what gets sprayed.

Some tough weeds may require two treatments during the year to ensure the best results.
2
Snow Clearance ( snow ploughing )
Snow in the UK can be pretty unpredictable. Sometimes we get to experience a white winter, but occasionally we receive snow in other seasons. As beautiful as it can be, snow can cause interruptions to daily life.

We use a Logic 1.8 Meter Snow Plough UTS201 Fitted to Our UTV.
3
UTV (Polaris Ranger 1000 4x4 Gator)
Our UTV (Utility-Terrain Vehicle) is a Polaris Ranger 1000 4x4 utility vehicle (gator) with flotation tyres. Weighing only 650Kg it has little to no ground compaction when working on grassland. The UTV is fitted out with the latest Ontrak GPS system this enables us to accurately map your fields to make sure we give an accurate coverage over everything when spraying, fertilising and overseeding.
